Ant and Dec Struggle to Contain Laughter as AngryGinge Faces Spider-Filled Trial
I'm A Celeb: AngryGinge's Spider Nightmare Trial

I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly are set for another hilarious challenge as they attempt to keep straight faces during tonight's (December 5) Bushtucker Trial. The focus of their mirth will be social media star AngryGinge, who must confront his crippling fear of spiders.

A Birthday Cake From Hell

To mark the show's 25th series, contestant Morgan Burtwistle, known online as AngryGinge, will face a specially designed 'Worst Day Cake'. The 24-year-old must crawl through six distinct sections of the giant jungle birthday cake, each one teeming with insects and critters. The primary aim is to retrieve stars that translate to meals for the hungry camp, but the overwhelming obstacle is the sheer number of spiders placed strategically to put him off.

In exclusive preview clips, the YouTuber is seen entering a section where large spiders crawl across the walls and floor. "Oh no!" he shouts as the door opens, immediately confronted by the puzzle needed to release the star. Visibly stressed, he repeats the mantra "It's a mindset, it's a mindset" to himself as he navigates the confined tunnel.

Ant and Dec's Comedic Struggle

The real entertainment, however, appears to be happening outside the trial. Presenters Ant and Dec are shown in the teaser desperately trying to stifle their laughter as they watch AngryGinge's ordeal unfold. His audible struggles and self-pep talks provide constant comic fodder.

At one point, as Ginge tries to move a star trapped on a pipe, he exclaims: "There's literally one on it, oh my goodness... I can't believe I'm doing this." His terror peaks when he comes face-to-face with a large spider, leading to a scream and a polite but desperate request: "Excuse me! Can you move! Can you get off the star?!"

His continued self-coaching—"they're not going to hurt me, it's a mindset"—takes an imaginative turn when he reasons, "If one bites me, I'm Spider Man, call me Peter Parker." The hosts finally lose their composure completely when a spider crawls onto Ginge's leg, prompting a shrill scream. Seizing the moment, Ant quips back to the screen: "Do you know what it is? It's a mindset. Remember, it's a mindset."

From Kitchen Nightmare to Bush Tucker Terror

This spider trial follows hot on the heels of AngryGinge's jungle kitchen disaster during Thursday night's episode. During a chore shake-up, he was put in charge of dinner alongside EastEnders star Shona McGarty. The move ended in embarrassment when he cross-contaminated vegetarian Lisa Riley's avocado meal by placing chicken on top of it.

After a sheepish confession to the camp, his jungle best friend, rapper Aitch, branded him a "k**b" in the Bush Telegraph, joking that if it were a real kitchen, the restaurant would have been shut down instantly. Despite his campmates' frustration, viewers found the incident "comedy gold," with many praising the entertainment value on social media.

Tonight's episode continues at 9pm on ITV1 and ITVX, following the eviction of Martin Kemp in the previous instalment. The Spandau Ballet star left after 20 days, stating he felt he had experienced everything he wanted to and could leave with "brilliant anecdotes."
