I'm A Celebrity 2025 Kicks Off With Jungle Mayhem
The highly anticipated return of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! 2025 exploded onto television screens on Sunday evening, delivering an immediate dose of the raucous and racy entertainment viewers have come to expect. The new series wasted no time, plunging its famous contestants into a world of creepy crawlies and chaotic challenges from the very start.
A Rocky Road to Camp
The journey into the jungle proved difficult for the all-star lineup, which includes Spandau Ballet's Martin Kemp, comedy legend Ruby Wax, model and presenter Kelly Brook, and EastEnders actress Shona McGarty. After losing their first challenge, a group comprising Kelly, Martin, Shona, Alex Scott, and Lisa Riley faced the consequences. Instead of a glamorous entrance, they were forced to travel crammed in the back of the infamous Cockie van.
Their task was to unlock a container to retrieve precious stars for the camp, but in true I'm A Celeb fashion, it came with a gruesome twist. Thousands of critters were unceremoniously dropped on their heads, triggering a wave of panic and hilarious exclamations. Former footballer Alex Scott was heard squealing, 'They're all down my bloody bra!' while a horrified Kelly Brook screamed, 'Oh my god, they're biting my t***!'
Flirting and Fears in the Jungle
The drama wasn't confined to the challenges. Earlier, Kelly Brook had lightened the mood by joking about Ruby Wax flirting with Kiosk Kev, the driver of the Cokie Fan vehicle. Never one to be outdone, the quick-witted comedian Ruby fired back with the risqué quip, 'I'll straddle him!' showcasing the bold humour that defines the show.
Beyond the on-screen antics, Kelly Brook had previously revealed her genuine anxieties about entering the jungle. In a surprising admission, the 45-year-old shared that her biggest fear wasn't the Bushtucker Trials, but the prospect of going without food. She confessed to her Heart Radio co-host, Jason King, 'I think the hunger really gets to you. I'm just not myself when I'm hungry.' Jason jokingly reminded her that a Deliveroo order wasn't an option in the Australian rainforest.
Food is famously scarce in the camp, with past contestant James Haskell describing the experience as 'starvation'. However, hunger isn't Kelly's only concern. She also expressed a deep-seated fear of the giant, 'unpredictable' spiders native to Australia, and the simple but daunting prospect of not being able to wash properly.
The new series also comes amid reports about the celebrities' salaries. Contrary to earlier speculation that Kelly Brook was the highest earner, an insider has revealed that rapper Aitch is set to pocket the top fee of £250,000. Comedian Eddie Kadi is reportedly receiving the lowest sum at £75,000, while Kelly Brook's fee is thought to be £80,000, significantly less than the previously rumoured £300,000.
