Prime Video has unveiled a teaser for the upcoming reboot of The Grand Tour, featuring new hosts Francis Bourgeois, James Engelsman, and Thomas Holland for the first time. The series returns on September 4, with the original trio—Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May—making a cameo to hand over hosting duties.
Teaser Highlights
The clip showcases the new hosts racing across dangerous terrain, echoing the original format. In one memorable moment, the trio pushes three battered cars down a hill and watches them smash. The narrator jokes about "swapping the worn out knobs in cars for new ones," prompting train enthusiast Bourgeois to declare: "That's us."
Fans have reacted positively, with one calling the quip "the most hilarious meta joke you could have possibly pulled." Others expressed cautious optimism, with comments like "Still skeptical but will give it a try" and "Still not convinced."
Global Adventures
All six episodes will drop simultaneously, featuring challenges in Malaysia, California, and the Angolan desert. One fan noted, "In 2002 the trio only just started and had to work to build their audience, so why not let another group try and do their own version and build their own audience."
