Gemma Collins warns Big Brother star Phillip he 'has to go'

Gemma Collins has warned Big Brother housemate Phillip that his treatment of Twinks could lead to his exit from the show. The reality TV star spent around 48 hours in the house and shared her views on the current contestants.

Gemma's Big Brother return

The Only Way Is Essex alum made a surprise entrance into the Big Brother house a decade after her original appearance in the celebrity version. She lived with the current contestants but was given a separate bedroom to sleep in.

During her stay, she hosted a number of challenges as the week's theme shifted to 'the house of power' and nominated Rob and Samuel as team captains as the housemates were split into two groups.

After a pizza and beer pong party, she made a quick exit via the Diary Room in scenes shown during Monday's (October 12) episode. She then joined GK Barry and Kate Lawler in the studio for companion show Big Brother The Group Chat.

Warning for Phillip

Interviewed by the pair, Gemma admitted she was still a huge fan of Rob but fired a warning at Phillip. She said she was 'shocked' after witnessing a row between Rochelle and Phillip, who said something negative about Twinks.

Gemma said: "I was disappointed in Phillip for that, because he's a super strong character and really he shouldn't be put off by Twinks. Because she's come in on the show, Big Brother's put her in, like embrace her."

She added: "I do feel that it was a bit off that he, and Rochelle had an issue with Twinks. I hope it gets squashed. Because they're not put off by Cat going in."

Phillip's potential downfall

Gemma said Phillip's treatment of Twinks could be his downfall. She said: "If you ain't bringing it to the table, you've got to go. And I think if Phillip continues to be in a neg space about Twinkie then Phillip's gonna go. And then I think Rochelle won't last long after Phillip's gone."

She also felt sorry for Twinks at the cocktail party, saying: "I felt for her at the cocktail party. Because it was a cocktail party not a shot party. It was dire."

Fan reaction

Fans backed Gemma's view, with one commenting: "Wasn’t sure about Gemma at first but I love her now seems so down to earth." Another added: "I absolutely love Gemma. She’s a real breath of fresh air."

Many wished she had stayed longer, with one posting: "I'm so sad she didn't stay for the full week." Another replied: "Well said Gemma Collins, Philip is spiralling that reaction to rochelle was weird and inappropriate. Yasmin definitely deserves to win."

Big Brother continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
