Donald Trump was criticised on GB News during Wednesday's breakfast programme after presenters Alex Armstrong and Ellie Costello discussed his latest move against King Charles. The US President had taken to his social media platform, Truth Social, to share an edited clip of King Charles appearing to ignore a fainting man.
Presenters question the post
After Alex questioned if the post was "nefarious," Penny Smith admitted: "I'm always bemused by people who are in charge of rather large countries doing things which are blatantly not true." She asked: "Particularly since, hasn't Donald Trump got some sort of beef with the BBC editing something to make it look not quite exactly as it was."
The GB News presenter highlighted the US leader's upcoming trial against the broadcasting giants, in which he seeks $10 billion in damages over the editing of a Paranoma documentary. The programme also featured former Tory minister Tom Pursglove.
