Gale Brophy, a standout figure in Netflix's reality series Members Only: Palm Beach, has issued a statement addressing rumours of a rift with co-star Taja Abitbol. The show, which debuted in December, follows five wealthy women navigating high society in Palm Beach, Florida.
Brophy, who appears in a supporting role, was reportedly asked to leave Abitbol's premiere party. She denied suggestions she was intoxicated at the event and claimed she was treated 'roughly' during her exit. The incident sparked speculation of a feud between the two cast members.
In a lengthy Instagram post, Brophy said she would not engage in 'name-calling or drama'. She wrote: 'Multiple media outlets and eyewitnesses have reported that what was first suggested publicly did not align with what actually happened.' She added that she would 'continue moving forward with dignity, letting my character speak louder than controversy.'
Brophy, a property firm owner and former executive in finance, PR and horse racing, also dismissed claims that she sought attention. 'I didn't come to compete for attention. I showed up as myself – calm, respectful, and gracious,' she stated.
Members Only: Palm Beach is now streaming on Netflix.
