Farmer Thomas and Clarette Still Together After Dramatic Finale
Farmer Thomas and Clarette Still Together After Dramatic Finale

Farmer Thomas and Clarette, the couple from the reality TV show Farmer Wants A Wife, are still together and going strong, despite a turbulent journey on the programme. The South Australian wheat, barley and lentil farmer declared his feelings for school teacher Clarette, both aged 35, during Monday's finale.

According to a production source, the pair have patched things up after major mid-season hiccups and walkouts. Clarette has already relocated to Kimba to live with Thomas on his farm, where she now works at a local school teaching secondary English.

The finale saw Thomas ask to speak separately with the other two finalists, Rachael and Jess, to tell them that Clarette had won his heart. Both women wished him well before leaving the farm. Thomas then left a handwritten note asking Clarette to meet him at sunset for an important conversation.

Their journey was marked by drama, including Thomas abruptly storming off the farm after a spat with Clarette, only to return 24 hours later. Clarette had felt betrayed after discovering he had been messaging his ex, Claire, despite insisting their connection was over. Thomas apologised, saying, 'I mean it, I swear. The contact's deleted. No contact at all,' and the pair reconciled with a passionate kiss.

'It was rocky, especially after the whole honesty box disaster, but Thomas realised Clarette was the one,' the source said. 'They've been trying to make long-distance work and are discussing next steps.'
