Emmerdale stars Olivia Bromley and Ned Porteous have teased a week of stunts and drama as Dawn Taylor and Joe Tate's wedding day arrives. The couple's big day is overshadowed by the aftermath of Billy Fletcher's attack, with Dawn believing Joe was responsible.
Joe is innocent, but Dawn doesn't know
In a twist, it was Kev Townsend who attacked Billy, not Joe. However, Billy, along with Caleb and Ruby Miligan, is happy for Dawn to think Joe was behind the beating. This sets up an explosive climax, with Joe potentially becoming 'dangerous and volatile' if pushed too far.
Filming was intense but rewarding
Ned told Metro that filming was 'fun' but 'hard work', adding: 'It's been a lot of work, but, having seen little clips from what we're making, it is going to be worth it. It's a different style than you've seen from normal Emmerdale.'
Olivia confirmed the stunt-heavy nature of the shoot: 'We've been doing about a 5-week shoot, which is not what we usually do. We've had loads of stunts and a really good crew.'
Wedding morning fears
On the morning of the wedding, Joe is 'not fully convinced that everything is going to go well', Ned said. Dawn, meanwhile, is 'terrified' and 'heartbroken', according to Olivia, as she plans to flee with the kids.
Ned defended his character, saying Joe is 'not a villain, he's very misunderstood, he's a good guy, he's got a good heart, he means well!' He added that if love and family were taken from Joe, 'what could that man then be capable of?'
Asked who Dawn should end up with, Olivia said: 'Dawn should have chosen Billy all along, and I think everybody feels the same.' Ned cheekily agreed: 'Silly girl.'
