Emmerdale spoilers confirm that Sadie King is set to drop a bombshell on Cain Dingle, and Joe Tate is preparing his revenge for the death of his beloved Dawn.
Recently, the residents of the Yorkshire-based soap have been enveloped in tragedy following the Tate wedding disaster which resulted in Dawn Taylor's and Jimmy King's tragic deaths.
In the episodes that followed, Joe Tate declared he wanted nothing to do with Baby Tate, blaming his son for the death of Dawn. Elsewhere, a grieving Nicola King was distraught as Sadie King arrived in the village after 20 years and informed her that she had been in a relationship with Jimmy for the last few years.
It was then that Vinny Dingle admitted to Gabby Thomas and Kev Barton that he was the car who had ran Jimmy off the road as he was on his phone to Gabby during the incident.
Elsewhere, Sarah was shocked and betrayed after Charity finally revealed the truth that Leyla was her baby, not Sarah's and Jacob's as the heat of Dr Todd's murder case turned up a notch.
A bleak outlook for Charity
Charity's prison ordeal intensifies after a lockdown leads to a cell search, where officers discover white powder. Following a humiliating full-body search, Charity suffers a PTSD-induced panic attack and is placed in segregation.
Meanwhile, Mackenzie unsuccessfully pressures Serena to help Charity out. Chas demands a family meeting, where she and Mackenzie pressure Sarah to change her statement, with Mackenzie threatening to expose Sarah's crimes and Leyla's paternity to Jacob.
Cain supports Sarah, clashing with Mackenzie over his aggression. Eventually, Sarah breaks down and confesses everything to Jacob. How will he react?
Sadie King's plot
Sadie manipulates grieving Nicola to obtain her house keys, which she passes to Robert for a burglary. Robert nearly gets caught inside Nicola's home but narrowly escapes. Meanwhile, Sadie continues to bond with Nicola at The Hide, where Gabby covers their lunch bill.
After Robert and Sadie fail to locate any money, they plot a trip to Whitby - Jimmy's favourite place - to hunt for clues. Throughout this, Sadie is visibly shaken when she spots Cain. Kim and Sadie have a hostile run-in leaving Pollard and Moira worried she's returned to the village to cause trouble.
Sadie later visits Cain and demands the money he stole from her. Cain refuses to entertain her and continues to reject Sadie until she announces a bombshell.
Joe Tate's plan for revenge
Kim demands a progress report from DS Ramsden on the results in the crash investigation. Joe insists on a private funeral with no guests apart from himself, leaving Kim dismayed. Billy confronts Joe about the plans, but Joe coldly confirms neither Billy nor the children are invited, leaving Billy devastated. Overwhelmed, Billy then lashes out at a passing Ruby for her role in Dawn's death.
Later, Ruby visits Joe at Home Farm to plead for Dawn's children to be allowed to attend, but Joe remains cold, rejecting her request and threatening that the conversation could take an ugly turn if she does not leave. After a conversation with Clemmie, Joe agrees to allow Billy and the children to attend the funeral.
However, Joe reveals to Graham that he has not turned a corner; he explains he is planning retribution against those responsible for Dawn's death and asks Graham for a favour.
Elsewhere in the village
Lewis considers encouraging Vinny to propose but Kev advises against it. Lewis is fed up with waiting and proposes to Vinny. Unable to accept due to his secret guilt, Vinny's hesitation causes Lewis to leave, hurt and humiliated.
