Emmerdale spoilers: Moira vs Sam and Lydia over Samson

Next week in Emmerdale, a devious takeover, a wicked scheme and a family at war take centre stage. Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) finally claims the Hide from Gabby and Laurel Thomas (Rosie Bentham and Charlotte Bellamy), but an unexpected enemy could derail his success in a high-stakes game of poker. DS Thea Ramsden's (Chelsea Edge) plot against her biological mum, Kim Tate (Claire King), continues to build, worrying her best friend Serena Sugden (Casey Al-Shaqsy). Meanwhile, the Dingles go to war when the prospect of Samson Dingle (Sam Hall) returning home pits Moira (Natalie J Robb) against Sam and Lydia (James Hooton and Karen Blick), with Matty Barton (Ash Palmisciano) caught in the middle.

Sunday and Monday: Robert's deal and Thea's ruse

On Sunday, October 11, Robert suggests a way Gabby could make things right with Nicola King (Nicola Wheeler), and Gabby later offers Nicola the money from selling the Hide to Robert. As Gabby coughs, Laurel encourages her to explain her orthorexia, and Nicola softens, reuniting the three. An emotional Gabby hands over the keys to Robert, who promises Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) his scheming will stop once the deal is finalised, before hiring Serena as manager.

As Kim worries about Joe's drinking and Serena worries about Thea's rage, a confrontation between a drunk-driving Joe and Thea results in her bringing him back to Home Farm, heartening Kim. Joe enlists Sadie's help. Vinny Dingle (Bradley Johnson) is surprised by a big family dinner before his court day.

On Monday, October 12, Kim is pulled over by police and Thea swoops in to rescue her, earning gratitude, but it's revealed to be a ruse. Thea tells Serena she has Kim exactly where she wants her. Vinny is comforted by Mandy Dingle (Lisa Riley) and Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt) before heading to court after emotional goodbyes. Letters arrive around the village; Joe and Nicola bin theirs, while Laurel's verbal assault on Sadie in the pub helps Sadie reel Ruby Miligan (Beth Cordingly) in.

Tuesday and Wednesday: Hide reopening and Dingle rift

On Tuesday, October 13, Robert prepares for the Hide's grand reopening but is disappointed to learn from Gabby that paperwork will take another month. He's lifted when the situation is rectified, but a conversation disrupts his relaunch plans. Sam and Lydia are excited about Samson returning, but when Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) comes home in a dreadful mood, they keep the news to themselves. Joe sets Sadie a mission, while Matty barely sleeps, holding the fort at the farm with baby Leyla crying through the night.

On Wednesday, October 13, Moira offers Matty a room at the Dingles' as he moves out of Emmerdale farm, but Belle senses trouble, having learned of Samson's release. As the truth is revealed, the family ruptures. Battle lines are drawn as Moira goes head to head with Sam and Lydia when they learn Matty has moved into the room they'd earmarked for Samson. Sadie tells Joe she plans to seduce Caleb Miligan (William Ash), despite Joe's warnings that Caleb and Ruby are tight. Nicola is grateful for Bob Hope's (Tony Audenshaw) support, but he receives bad news.

Thursday and Friday: Warnings and confrontation

On Thursday, October 15, Cain's suspicions are raised when Sadie says she plans to stay in the village. He warns Caleb that if he gets involved with Sadie, she'll destroy his life, but Caleb shrugs it off, believing he's too smart for her schemes. At the Dingles', tensions run high with Matty in the room Sam and Lydia had saved for Samson.

On Friday, October 16, Moira stands firm on her feelings toward Samson, alienating her from the Dingle clan. When Matty packs his bag to move out, she's heartbroken and pleads with him not to go. Cutting through the arguments, Matty tells his mum it's time she forgave Samson. As Robert schemes to win big money in a poker game, Kev is determined to get a piece of the action until he learns Claudette Anderson (Flo Wilson) is playing, with her fearsome reputation preceding her. Sadie manipulates Ruby, and things between Sarah Sugden (Katie Hill) and Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) show no signs of improvement.
