Emmerdale viewers are convinced that Ruby Miligan will expose Sadie King's lies about her relationship with the late Jimmy King, spelling the end of her scheme to find his hidden fortune.
Last month, Sadie (Patsy Kensit) returned to the ITV soap following the death of her ex-husband Jimmy (Nick Miles), who died after crashing his car into a wedding marquee. She claimed she was back to pay her respects, but grieving Nicola King (Nicola Wheeler) suspected she was hiding a secret.
In a twist, Sadie revealed she had been in a secret relationship with Jimmy for three years, even producing photos to support her claim. However, her true motive soon emerged: she is trying to get her hands on Jimmy's cash, though she does not know where it is hidden.
Sadie's Plan With Robert Sugden
Assisting Sadie in her scheme is her former lover, Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley), who will take half of the money if they find where Jimmy put it.
On Monday's episode, Sadie was determined to find the money and headed to the depot, convinced Caleb Miligan (William Ash) must have taken it after buying Jimmy's share of the haulage firm. She tried to befriend Ruby Miligan (Beth Cordingly) before Caleb caught her searching his office, leaving him suspicious.
Ruby later invited Sadie back to her house for wine, and the two women appeared to connect instantly.
Ruby's Suspicion Grows
Ruby asked a tipsy Sadie about her affair with Jimmy, prompting her to discuss a romantic encounter with a man named Federico, who took her to New York for Christmas. As Sadie fell asleep, she revealed the situationship with Federico had only started last year. Ruby was immediately interested but could not ask more questions as Sadie had fallen asleep on the sofa.
Viewers are certain Ruby, who is attuned to deceit, knows Sadie is lying about her affair with Jimmy and will sabotage her plan.
Taking to Facebook, one person wrote: "Come on Ruby, hope you manage to find out Sadie is a liar!!! Ruby clicked on straight away when Sadie said she was with Frederico at Christmas, hopefully she'll sort that horrible, lying woman out ASAP."
A second added: "I think Ruby has her sussed and he's playing the long game", while a third wrote: "Oh come on!! Ruby isn't stupid; she is going to take Sadie down!! You just wait".
