Emmerdale fans have spotted a telling clue that could ruin Charity Dingle's self-defence claim as Dr Caitlin Todd died.
Dr Todd's Death and the Aftermath
Dr Todd spent the first half of this year bullying trainee doctor Jacob Sugden at work before her attention shifted to Charity Dingle after learning that the surrogate baby she birthed for Sarah and Jacob was actually the result of a one-night stand with Ross Barton.
Although it started out as a blackmail mission, Dr Todd assaulted Charity after the latter rejected a kiss from her as the two briefly appeared to meet a truce. Charity later reported Dr Todd, but the CPS decided there wasn't enough evidence to prosecute.
Sarah's Push and the Cover-Up
As Sunday (August 9) arrived in the Dales, viewers waited to see Dr Todd's final scenes play out. As she continued to torment Charity, the camera panned to see Sarah Sugden silently listening to everything. Learning about her attacking Charity, Sarah decided to confront Dr Todd with Charity hoping that the doctor wouldn't let slip her baby Leyla secret.
After screaming at Dr Todd to leave, Sarah pushed her causing the villain to trip and bang her head on the edge of the table. As she rolled onto her back from the impact, blood quickly pooled out of her head as she lay lifeless on the floor.
Viewers Spot the Glass
During Monday's (August 10) visit to the Dales, Sarah and Charity attempted to figure out what to do in the aftermath of Dr Todd's death. It was then that former police officer, Serena Sugden, entered their home. After the shock wore off, Serena helped them get their story straight ready for Sarah to claim self-defence. However, Charity shocked them both by calling the police telling them she had accidentally killed someone.
Then, Serena furiously chastised Charity but helped her secure a self-defence story, even scratching Charity's arm with Dr Todd's lifeless hand to show a fight had been had. However, viewers have pointed out a telling clue that Charity has forgotten about which could land them in hot water. During Dr Todd and Charity's confrontation, things calmed down as Charity offered her a glass of water and spoke through what had happened. Dr Todd held the glass, which was subsequently left on the table after she died.
On X (formerly known as Twitter), @a6rice wrote: "The glass on the table has Dr Todd’s DNA on it. Could blow their story apart." @susyq1111 replied: "I noticed that. I think Sarah's going to fall apart and ruin it" as @cupofteakim eclaimed: "WIPE THE GLASS FFS".
