Emmerdale fans are convinced a soap favourite could be heading back to the village as Sadie King attempts to destroy Caleb and Ruby Miligan's marriage.
Sadie (Patsy Kensit) returned to the village last month after learning ex Jimmy King (Nick Miles) had died. He crashed his car into a marquee at Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) and Dawn Taylor's (Olivia Bromley) wedding.
Shocking everyone, including Jimmy's wife Nicola (Nicola Wheeler), Sadie claimed Jimmy had been living a double life and was romantically involved with her for the past three years. It was later revealed Sadie was lying and trying to get her hands on cash Jimmy had left.
Sadie's new target
Sadie has now turned her attention to Caleb (William Ash) and Ruby (Beth Cordingly) Miligan, encouraged by Joe Tate, who is out to get revenge on his uncle Caleb.
In an attempt to seduce Caleb, Sadie has struck up a friendship with Ruby, who is unaware of Sadie's ulterior motives about wrecking their marriage.
In Thursday's episode (October 15), Sadie's ex Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) was left suspicious when Sadie made it clear she was sticking around. He warned Caleb that Sadie would destroy his life, but Caleb insisted he was too smart for her.
Fans predict Nicky's return
With more drama to come, fans reckon the soap could bring back a former character to take down Sadie. On an Emmerdale Facebook fan page, viewers have predicted Caleb and Ruby's son Nicky (Lewis Cope).
"They need to get Nicky back soon," said one person, as someone else added: "Maybe he'll come back to stop Sadie." Echoing their thoughts, a third chimed in: "Yeah I miss him, it's a shame he's not been back since." Another person wrote: "Got a feeling he'll be back soon."
Nicky made his debut on the soap in 2022, playing a part in several big storylines, from coming out as gay to having a horror car crash. In 2024, he left the village with boyfriend Suni Sharma. Actor Lewis went on to appear on Strictly Come Dancing in 2025, reaching the final with pro partner Katya Jones.
Emmerdale airs Monday to Friday at 8:00pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
