Emmerdale fans are convinced DS Thea Ramsden and Graham Foster are secretly linked after a scene on Tuesday, with many believing they are targeting Kim Tate together.
Scene at Home Farm sparks suspicion
Detective and newcomer Thea Ramsden entered Home Farm, a day after telling her pal Serena Sugden she wanted to destroy Kim Tate. It became clear she and Serena are targeting the Tate family, and Thea was the person who tasked Serena with breaking into Home Farm recently. They are digging for dirt to take them down, but the reason is being kept under wraps.
On Tuesday, Thea sneaked into Home Farm only to be caught by Graham. As Graham questioned her about being in the house, Thea stared at him. Something about the scene was a little weird, and it was massively hinted the pair already know each other from the way they stared.
Fans share theories online
Now that we know Thea is out to get Kim, fans are wondering if she and Graham are in cahoots. After all, Graham was working with a mystery person months ago when he tried to kill Kim. So what if Thea is the person he was in cahoots with, and now they are both preparing to secretly destroy Kim? Is Serena in on it too, or is it just one big coincidence that all three characters have targeted Kim?
Taking to social media, fans made it clear that they believed Graham and Thea are connected. A fan said: "Graham and Thea definitely know each other!" Another fan posted: "Thea seems really interesting I wonder why she is after Kim and is she the person Graham was working with." A third fan added: "Hang on, is it Thea, Graham is working with? The police connections are there!"
Thea could be Jean Tate
It comes as fans shared the theory that Thea is actually Jean Tate. The daughter of Zoe Tate, Kim's former stepdaughter, was on the show as a small child. Is Thea actually Jean, trying to reclaim Home Farm? The fact that Thea mentioned "finally" taking Kim down, could she be doing this on behalf of her 'mother', Zoe? Could this also be why Thea looked so angrily at Joe, could she be his cousin?
One fan wrote: "So DS Ramsden is Jean Tate, no? Wanting revenge on Kim on behalf of her mum, Zoe?" Another agreed: "I’m positive she’s Jean Tate," as a third fan said: "I think it's going to turn out to be Zoe's daughter." A fourth viewer theorised: "I was thinking could she be Jean using a different name but surely he’d recognise her?" A further post read: "Is DS Ramsden Jean Tate? She wants revenge on Kim, immediately defended Joe and used his first name and their whole interaction was odd, felt pointed."
"Jean and Joe were raised together by Zoe for a time but as children, is it possible Joe does not quite recognise her?" A final comment read: "I’m thinking she's Jean Tate. Would be ironic that both Tate cousins turned up in the village after years away under a pseudonym."
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 8pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
