Emmerdale viewers are certain they have identified the person behind Jimmy King's death, and it is neither Gabby Thomas nor Sadie King.
Emmerdale was rocked by a devastating tragedy this week as Jimmy King's storyline reached a heartbreaking conclusion. The much-loved character was caught up in a horrifying crash after his vehicle ploughed into the marquee at Joe Tate and Dawn Taylor's wedding. Jimmy was left critically injured and trapped within the wreckage. His condition then took a catastrophic turn. In harrowing scenes, Jimmy succumbed to his injuries with Nicola at his side, leaving his loved ones confronting an unthinkable loss.
The turmoil was far from finished, however, as the wedding marquee exploded shortly afterward. Friday's episode, which aired on 28 August, delivered yet more jaw-dropping twists. Joe was confirmed to have survived the disaster and was rushed to the hospital, while Dawn went into premature labour and gave birth several months ahead of schedule, reports the Daily Star.
Police clue and Gabby's discomfort
Meanwhile, Nicola faced the agonising task of breaking the news of Jimmy's passing to their children. As the consequences of the crash unfolded, DS Ramsden surveyed the scene and informed Kim Tate that Jimmy appeared to have swerved to avoid someone.
The most significant clue emerged moments later, however, when Gabby Thomas was spotted nearby, appearing visibly uncomfortable — casting serious doubt over whether she holds vital information about what truly occurred.
Fans point to Caleb Miligan
However, not all viewers are persuaded, with numerous fans taking to social media to share their thoughts and theories — and a significant number believe Caleb Miligan could be responsible.
Posting on X, one fan wrote, "So who's the mystery car that ran Jimmy off the road then?? Caleb?"
Another speculated, "Maybe Jimmy got Caleb's dodgy brakes."
A third commented on a Facebook fan page, "Could also be Caleb's dodgy car parts," while another concurred, "Maybe faulty brake. Parts from Caleb."
One viewer added, "I think the car Jimmy was driving had been fixed with faulty parts. (further storyline) And I also think poor Jimmy got impaled; this is why he couldn't move to get out. Loss of blood may be, if he did have a heart attack, as some have suggested, would be due to massive blood loss. Maybe! ( suing story leading forward)."
