Emily Atack and Mathew Horne Kiss in Debenhams Christmas Ad

Emily Atack and Mathew Horne lock lips in the new Debenhams Christmas advert, released earlier today. The four-minute film brings together a star-studded cast for a festive story of reconnection.

Childhood Sweethearts Reunite

In the ad, childhood sweethearts Tina (Emily Atack) and Chris (Mathew Horne) unexpectedly reconnect at a village Christmas party. Tina gets glammed up for the event, seemingly not in the Christmas spirit, until she sees her old friend Chris.

At the local pub, Katie the landlady, played by Hear'Say and soap star Kym Marsh, encourages Tina to enjoy the party and asks about romantic connections. Over the evening, Tina and Chris keep sharing glances.

Musical Twist and Power Cut

The party's compere (Mark Heyes) reveals that the special musical guest has been stuck in a snowstorm, so Chris must take over. His performance starts well but is interrupted when a neighbour shorts the village's power while putting up Christmas lights.

As other partygoers, including Saffron Barker and Jay Beech, head out into the snow, Chris fixes the lights. Just in time, musical guest Gabrielle arrives to sing her hit "Dreams Can Come True."

Stars Share Their Excitement

While Gabrielle sings, Tina and Chris finally kiss. The ad ends with Debenhams reminding viewers that Christmas is "for everyone," whether old friends or new connections.

Emily Atack said: "For me, Debenhams and Christmas go hand in hand, so it was great to be asked to be a part of the campaign this year especially as this is such an exciting Christmas for me personally. I loved filming it, the warm, nostalgic vibe of the party in the film felt just perfect and what a fantastically talented and lovely cast to be a part of."

Mathew Horne added: "I'm often associated with Christmas due to a certain TV programme! I know many fans have associated memories around that show and the festive period."

Singer Gabrielle commented: "I'm absolutely thrilled to be working with Debenhams this Christmas! It's a brand I've loved for years, so being part of their Christmas campaign feels really special. I'm excited for everyone to see it."
