DIY SOS filming halted as cameraman moved to tears by Noah Wall story

Filming on the BBC show DIY SOS was paused after a cameraman was moved to tears while the family of Noah Wall shared their story. Noah was diagnosed with Spina Bifida as a baby and was born with a hole in his back and fluid on his brain, with just 2% of the brain he should have had.

Following years of hospital visits and operations, Noah and his family were living in a "cold and unsafe" home after his parents had to give up their jobs to care for him. When emotions ran high on set, cameras had to stop rolling.

Family thanks the DIY SOS team

The family shared on Instagram: "Thank you Nick Knowles for asking what it's like having DIY SOS Big Build at your house.. it's utterly life-changing." They added: "The team are very special. The day you open the door, you don't even need to explain your story - they just know you, as they have seen so much footage of your story."

"Each one of them from DIY SOS holds you tight and their eyes fill up. We couldn't believe that our family had been chosen!" reports the Express.

Cameraman Robin's emotional moment

The family recalled: "We remember the cameraman, Robin, having to stop filming because he was so upset as we started to tell our story on camera." They noted that "He wanted to capture everything just right as everyone chosen to have DIY SOS visit them has an incredible story to tell."

The family expressed their gratitude, saying: "The immense feeling of gratitude that we feel every day, that you guys and the amazing trades came in to help. We felt the love you all brought, the happiness, the forever friendships; the weight lifted off our shoulders knowing everything is going to be okay, 'We will make your house a home'."

They concluded: "This then gave us the much-needed time to care and help Noah grow in the most kind, caring, loving young man he is today. You helped us so much, thank you for wanting to come and help and change our lives forever."
