New Coronation Street spoiler videos reveal a fire horror as Jodie Ramsey (Olivia Frances-Brown) turns her vitriol back toward her unknowing sister, Shona Platt (Julia Goulding), with her latest wicked game threatening to break Shona's resolve for good.
Jodie's fire horror
As Doug Ramsey (Steve Evets) and David Platt (Jack P Shepherd) return home to a house filled with smoke, Jodie can barely contain her glee at the latest blow she's personally delivered to her sister. On Monday, September 14, as David, Doug and Jodie arrive home, they're horrified to realise the kitchen is full of smoke, which is quickly creeping across to the living room.
As Doug dashes to open the back door and Jodie legs it upstairs to check on baby Harper, David, finding the smoke alarm disabled, rouses a sleeping Shona, furious that she put herself and their child in so much danger. As Jodie struggles to contain her grin at Shona's evident distress, David softens as his wife's exhaustion becomes evident – she feels utterly terrible.
Bethany's guilt
Over at Underworld on Tuesday, September 15, Bethany Platt (Lucy Fallon) interrupts a cheeky moment between Carla and Lisa Connor-Swain (Alison King and Vicky Myers), infuriated that Carla has replaced her mum, Sarah Platt (Tina O'Brien) at work. Carla and Lisa discuss Kit having thrown a sicky, and playfully discuss the times in their lives that they'd skived, but as Carla tries to talk Lisa into fulfilling a Frescho-flavoured fantasy, Bethany arrives to ruin the mood.
Stepping up to defend her mum's honour, Carla bites back with some home truths, but as Bethany begins to verbally reflect on her own actions of late – primarily, sleeping with her ex-fiancé, Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) – she's struck and flees. Carla's left concerned, what'll Bethany's next move be?
Susie's star ambitions
Back in the Rover's on Thursday, September 17, Glenda Shuttleworth (Jodie Prenger) is excited over the prospect of working with young charisma machine, Susie Price (Aurora Bradshaw). While Ben Driscoll (Aaron McCusker) tries to temper Susie's dedication to her online presence, Eva (Catherine Tyldesley) and Maggie (Pauline McLynn) struggle to take him seriously.
As Glenda gives young superstar Susie a big welcome, Eva delicately signals for her to cut it – Ben's fuming about Susie's new online presence. Glenda won't stop though, lavishing Susie with praise over her star power and massive potential, and with Ben now signalling for her to shut it, Glenda offers to sign her up for Little Big Shotz. As Eva struggles to contain her pride, Ben warns her that it's not been decided yet, leaving Susie to threaten divorce – is she Weatherfield's next breakout star?
