Jodie Ramsey (Olivia Frances-Brown) escalates her revenge mission against sister Shona Platt (Julia Goulding) in Coronation Street, sabotaging her parenting and manipulating those around her. Shona has been struggling to care for daughter Harper alone, and while David Platt (Jack P Shepherd) has returned to help, Jodie's presence continues to disrupt life on the cobbles.
Jodie has been staying with Shona since the beginning of 2026, when they reconnected after years of estrangement. Since moving in, she has stolen from neighbours, spread rumours, tried to seduce David, and befriended Lily Platt (Grace Ashcroft-Gardner) while undermining Shona's parenting decisions.
Sabotage and a burnt cake
Next week, Jodie takes her revenge further. As Shona cares for Harper, exhausted, Jodie reminds her of a promise to make Lily a cake for a school bake sale. Claiming a dentist appointment, Jodie leaves Shona to bake alone. When the smoke alarm goes off, Jodie watches gleefully from the garden as Shona realises the cake is burnt.
Later, Shona falls asleep on the sofa, and Jodie sneaks in. When David and Doug Ramsey (Steve Evets) return, they find the kitchen full of smoke. The next day, David and Jodie encourage Shona to rest, leaving her feeling useless. She decides to give Harper a bath, unaware that Jodie has replaced the bath water with boiling water from the kettle. When David tests the water, he yelps in pain and rails at Shona, pointing out she could have injured their daughter.
A new plan forms
Meanwhile, Jodie chats with Gemma Winter-Brown (Dolly-Rose Campbell), who opens up about postnatal depression. Jodie, struck by inspiration, secretly forms a plan. The following day, she makes mean-spirited comments about Shona's hair and outfits as Shona prepares for a romantic dinner with David.
When they return, Shona hears Harper crying but finds the annexe door locked. Distraught, she takes Harper for a walk and bumps into Asha Alahan (Tanisha Gorey) in Victoria Gardens, who is concerned when she smells wine on Shona's breath.
Hearing things
At the end of the week, Shona hears Harper crying again, but David walks in holding the happy, smiling baby. Upset, Shona believes she is hearing things, and David takes her to the doctor. When they return, Shona naps, leaving David alone with Jodie, who makes a snide comment about Shona's emotional state, saying it must be difficult being a carer as well as a single parent. David asserts this is just a blip.
