Coronation Street fans think they've rumbled Jodie Ramsey's next move as they've been left confused by one detail in her ongoing plan to take over her sister's life.
Viewers of the ITV soap, which is filmed in Salford, haven't trusted Jodie ever since she made her first appearance back in January, in the aftermath of the dramatic multi-vehicle crash which unfolded between Weatherfield and Hotten, near Emmerdale.
As viewers of the historic Corrie and Emmerdale crossover, dubbed Corriedale, will recall, she was seen tied up in the back of a van driven by Dales returnee Graham Foster, before she ended up being injured during her escape.
Jodie's troubling behaviour
Feeling sorry for her after Shona's frosty reception to her arrival, David ended up inviting Jodie to stay at No.8 Coronation Street, and she's been causing trouble ever since.
Having previously attempted to get in between Shona and David, Jodie is now ramping up her plans to seemingly take over her sister's life, as it's recently been made clear that Jodie is trying to make Shona and her loved ones think she's suffering from post-natal depression as she struggles with baby Harper.
During the latest visit to Weatherfield on Wednesday (September 30), Jodie was seen making out that she had a date and then headed to Audrey's salon for a blow-dry. As David finished her hair, he mentioned her looking "fit" and sent her off to enjoy herself.
Doug spots the truth
However, spotting her moment, Jodie pretended to read a text and, feigning tears, made out to her brother-in-law that her date had cancelled. Conveniently pulling a bottle of fizz from her bag, Jodie persuaded David to join her in a commiseratory drink. After a heart-to-heart, Jodie pulled David into a hug.
But their interaction was spotted by Jodie and Shona's dad, Doug Ramsey, who seemed to know Jodie was up to no good and warned her to stop. "That's Shona's husband. Back off! There'll just be trouble again," he said, only for his daughter to try and make out he was having issues with his bipolar medication.
Fans predict the next twist
It's left Corrie fans confused about Doug's role in the storyline, and they've predicted what Jodie will do next in order to get her own way.
