Corrie cast film Christmas special in fake snow

Coronation Street has begun filming its Christmas special, with behind-the-scenes footage showing the cast enjoying fake snow in Weatherfield. Star Ryan Mulvey, who plays Brody Michaelis, shared a video on his TikTok of the festive scenes.

Behind the scenes of the festive filming

Ryan, who has played Brody since 2025, uploaded the clip showing what the Rovers Return will look like in winter. The pub, run by Eva Price (Catherine Tyldesley), features a pink Christmas tree. Familiar faces in the video include Alison King (Carla Connor-Swain), David Neilson (Roy Cropper) and Joe Duttine.

Brody was brought up by Lou and Mick Michaelis, but it was revealed that his biological dad is Kit Green (Jacob Roberts). He currently lives with foster parents Tim and Sally Metcalfe (Joe Duttine and Sally Dynevor), along with siblings Shanice and Joanie, as well as Lucy, Tim's cousin's daughter.

Christmas storyline hints

While festive storylines haven't been revealed in full, Jodie Ramsey (Olivia Frances-Brown) will be a focus. Olivia previously said: 'It's gonna be a bleak Christmas for Jodie, that's all I'm going to say.'

Nathan Sussex, who plays Tim's cousin Richie Anderson, also indicated his character will be at the centre of December drama. He said: 'When you get a job like this, they kind of tell you the story arc, but, of course, because it's a new storyline, I only know stuff up until a certain period. I've been kind of given sort of a brief that this is what could happen, but I don't know myself. All I know is it's quite a big Christmas hook, and you know the dream, I would love to be in Coronation Street on Christmas Day.'
