Christmas has arrived early in Weatherfield as the cast of Coronation Street have been seen filming upcoming festive scenes for the long-running ITV soap, which is filmed in Salford.
Last year's festive episodes featured high drama with secrets, shocking revelations, and explosive confrontations on the famous cobbles. Becky Swain manipulated events to get her ex-wife, Lisa Swain, to herself, but Lisa's heartbreak over her relationship with Carla Connor led to the detective sergeant's late wife taking drastic and dangerous actions.
Previous Christmas Drama
Elsewhere, Todd Grimshaw found himself isolated as Theo Silverton's controlling behaviour continued, leading to a birthday party turning sour before a shock turn of events on New Year's Eve. Maggie Driscoll's suspicions grew after finding a hidden letter written by Eva Price, and after witnessing a moment between Eva and her ex, Adam Barlow, she concocted a plan to oust Eva by setting up a dramatic and violent Christmas dinner in the Rovers.
While details for what's ahead for Christmas 2026 are yet to be revealed, actor Ryan Mulvey has given fans a first look at this year's festivities. The actor, who plays Brody Michaelis, took to TikTok with a video of clips he'd captured while filming upcoming scenes, with soaps often filming anywhere from 8 to 10 weeks in advance.
