Coronation Street: Ollie arrested after Jake incident

Ollie Driscoll (Raphael Akuwudike) faces arrest in Coronation Street after a misunderstanding with Jake Windass (Bobby Bradshaw) leads to serious consequences.

Christina's accident sparks chain of events

The trouble begins when Christina Boyd (Amy Robbins), believing her relationship with George Shuttleworth (Tony Maudsley) is failing, heads to the Rovers Return to drink. After consuming too much alcohol, she stumbles and falls in the ginnel outside the pub.

Jake Windass witnesses the incident and finds it amusing. He throws water over Christina while filming her on his phone. Ollie spots Jake and races after him, catching him and pinning him to the ground.

Ollie's mistake revealed

Christina and Glenda Shuttleworth (Jodie Prenger) arrive to find Ollie holding Jake down. When Christina clarifies that Jake only poured water on her, a mortified Ollie releases the young lad.

Word quickly reaches Jake's father Gary Windass (Mikey North), who urges his son to be honest when giving his statement. Jake tells Gary and Maria Connor (Samia Longchambon) that he was on his way to visit Joseph Brown (William Flanagan) at the time of the incident.

Arrest and potential prison sentence

Despite Christina and Glenda telling Ollie they know he acted in good faith, PC Jess Heywood arrives and arrests Ollie on suspicion of assault. With Ollie potentially facing a custodial sentence, a stressed Ben Driscoll (Aaron McCusker) tells Gary that his son might end up in prison.

Jake listens, awash with guilt. Will he tell the truth, or is Ollie about to spend time behind bars?
