Coronation Street viewers believe they have worked out the true identity of Kit Green's biological father, with some suggesting the cobbles resident could be evil Ross Wilkes.
Kit (Jacob Roberts) first appeared on the ITV soap in 2024 as Bernie Winter's (Jane Hazlegrove) long-lost son, given up for adoption as a baby. The corrupt copper soon became embroiled in major storylines, including the fallout from ex-girlfriend Sarah Platt's (Tina O'Brien) imprisonment for the murder of Theo Silverton (James Cartwright) in April.
Cancer diagnosis and family history
More recently, Kit received the devastating news that he has stage 3 breast cancer. Doctors told him he would require treatment, including a mastectomy and possibly chemotherapy. The diagnosis followed Kit's discovery that his family carries a history of the BRCA gene mutation. Although he initially hid the diagnosis from mum Bernie and sister Gemma (Dolly-Rose Campbell), he eventually revealed the truth to them.
Fans point to Ross Wilkes
With further drama set to unfold, fans are now convinced they have identified Kit's biological father. On a Coronation Street Facebook fan page, one viewer asked: "Who is Kit's biological father? Are we expecting him to show up on the street at some point?" Another fan responded by suggesting Ross Wilkes (Ian Burfield), writing: "Might be that Ross?" A third agreed: "Good thinking." Another posted: "Yh probably." A fifth commented: "That might be an upcoming storyline."
Ross made his debut on the soap earlier this year when it emerged he was Tyrone Dobbs' (Alan Halsall) biological father. It subsequently came to light that Ross had paid Cassie (Claire Sweeney) for sex when she was 15, resulting in her pregnancy with Tyrone.
Ross's recent trouble
Since moving to the cobbles, Ross has caused considerable trouble, including driving a wedge between Cassie and her loved ones. Left with no options, she decided to leave and take a job on a cruise ship. However, following Ross's arrival at the train station, he was seen driving off at speed with her trapped in the vehicle, leaving her fate unknown.
