Coronation Street fans predict Natasha return as Sam struggles

Coronation Street fans are convinced that Sam Tilsley (Jude Riordan) could soon see his late mother Natasha Blakeman (Rachel Leskovac) after his recent mental health struggles.

Sam first appeared on the ITV soap in 2020 as the secret son of Nick Tilsley (Ben Price). Since then, he has featured in numerous significant storylines, including his bond with Roy Cropper (David Neilson) and the devastating loss of his mother, who was killed by Harvey Gaskell (Will Mellor) in 2021.

Sam's mental health crisis

During this year's episodes, Sam's mental health has declined significantly, leading to hallucinations. Events took a distressing turn this week when he suffered a psychic breakdown and required hospitalisation.

While Sam has now returned to the cobbles, it's evident he continues to struggle. Last week, he caused Eva Price (Catherine Tyldesley) to tumble down the stairs at the Rovers Return, rendering her unconscious. Rather than seeking assistance, he stood over her motionless body. Following Sam's departure from the scene, Eva was ultimately found by Glenda Shuttleworth (Jodie Prenger) and rushed to hospital with her injuries.

Confession and debt revelation

Carl Webster (Jonathan Howard) subsequently became the prime suspect, leaving Sam consumed with guilt. However, during Thursday's episode (October 1), Sam confessed the truth to his family, including his father Nick. Yet Sam had another shocking revelation to share. He disclosed that he has accumulated a substantial cryptocurrency debt in Nick's name, leaving his family completely stunned.

Now, with Sam clearly still enduring a difficult time, viewers are convinced he could begin experiencing hallucinations once more, and this time they believe he may encounter a former Coronation Street resident.

Fan predictions

On a dedicated Coronation Street Facebook fan page, one follower commented: "I'm not liking where Sam's story is going at the moment." Another chimed in, predicting the return of his late mother Natasha: "I think he'll start seeing things again, maybe his dead mum." A third supporter concurred: "I said the same." A fourth enthusiast added: "That would be so bittersweet for him." While a fifth remarked: "I can see that happening but I wish they hadn't taken this route with Sam."

Coronation Street airs Monday to Friday at 8:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
