Coleen Rooney has said 'no one knows the real Rooneys' as fans were seen going wild for an update on her and Wayne's reality TV series. While the couple, who have been married since 2008 and share four sons, are sometimes seen bringing fans inside their home life on social media, they're giving the cameras access with their Disney+ series, The Real Rooneys.
Release date confirmed for The Real Rooneys
This week, it was confirmed that viewers will be able to stream episodes 1-8 exclusively on Disney+ from Thursday, September 24. Two special episodes will become available to stream on the following Thursday, October 1.
The series synopsis for The Real Rooneys reads: "In the 10-episode series, Coleen and Wayne Rooney have invited cameras into their home for a pivotal year in their lives. It's all change as Wayne steps away from football management, swapping the touchline for school runs, while Coleen embraces the biggest opportunities of her career, including designing her own Primark range."
Behind the scenes of the family series
It adds: "With unprecedented access, we follow the family through the highs and lows of married life, raising four lively boys, and supporting eldest son Kai as he pursues his own footballing dream."
The synopsis continues: "Along the way come surprising personal revelations, career-defining moments, lavish celebrations and unforgettable family holidays. From their Cheshire home to the beaches of Barbados and the snowy Alps, this is Britain's most famous and private family as never seen before: warm, funny and authentic."
A trailer was also released for the upcoming series, in which former Manchester United and England star Wayne is heard telling the Disney+ cameras: "We spoke about her doing more work but not about me getting sacked!"

Meanwhile, Coleen, who won plenty more fans following her stint on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here in 2024, embraced the biggest opportunities of her career, including designing her own Primark range. "This is my series, are you glad that I let you on?", she joked to her husband, following her previous Disney+ series, to which he replied: "Oh here we go. Get over it!"
As the kids - Kai, 16, Klay, 13, Kit, 10, and eight-year-old Cass - jumped around on the sofa, Coleen added: "It's hectic, it's mad. Not much peace and quiet around here." She added: "No one knows the real Rooneys. This is a side we have never shown before."
