Cheryl will make her debut on ITV's The Voice UK earlier than expected, appearing as a guest mentor alongside will.i.am during the show's battle rounds. The Girls Aloud singer was recently confirmed as one of two new coaches for the next edition of the singing competition, which was filmed in Manchester for airing in 2027.
New coaching line-up revealed
Earlier this month, amid the ongoing 2026 series, ITV revealed its brand new coaching line-up. Cheryl and Manchester rapper Aitch, whose real name is Harrison James Armstrong, will replace Sir Tom Jones and McFly duo Tom Fletcher and Danny Jones.
An ITV spokesperson said: "The famous red chairs will see the arrival of two musical forces making their debut as coaches. Platinum-selling rap artist Aitch and global pop icon Cheryl are set to begin their hunt for the nation's next vocal powerhouse."
Fans react to early appearance
Pictures of Cheryl and will.i.am together on The Voice UK's Instagram page prompted a quick reaction from fans. @cheryltweedynews said: "So excited to see our girl back on screens," while @sammy.herbert commented: "I was at the filming of next series a few weeks ago - she's a fantastic addition to the show."

Cheryl is familiar with singing competitions, having served as one of The X Factor's most popular judges from 2008 to 2010 and returning for the 2014 and 2015 series. Kelly Rowland returns for a second series as a coach, joining will.i.am on the panel.
