Charlotte has broken her silence on her decision to leave the Big Brother house, revealing she felt relieved as soon as she made the choice. The 18-year-old, one of the youngest contestants to enter the iconic house this month, walked after 13 days on the show.
The quadruple amputee, who lost her limbs to meningitis, became a firm favourite during her time on the show, known for her nonchalant reactions to the drama and chaos.
Emotional Exit Explained
In last night's episode (September 27), Charlotte told Big Brother she "can't take it anymore" and wanted to go home. She admitted: "I've been pushed to my ultimate limit and that's it now. I think I'm a lot different to people in the way that I like to have mental peace."
After telling her fellow housemates of her decision to leave, Charlotte said an emotional goodbye, which left viewers in tears. Now, she has opened up about her decision as well as her time on the show, appearing on last night's spin off show The Group Chat.
Speaking on The Group Chat
Speaking to hosts GK Barry and Kate Lawler, Charlotte said: "I think it was just all the challenges we were doing, I didn't imagine it to be like that. I've never seen it like that before, we had the nightmare room on day three, got through that and then I think when those doors opened in the morning and there was no furniture, it was like we were sat on the floor in boiler suits. It was not good."
Admitting she had eaten "10 rice cakes and a raw carrot", Charlotte said she had no regrets about leaving, adding: "As soon as I made decision I felt relieved straight away. The only thing I'm upset about is I miss everyone."
She then made a stark admission: "As soon as I entered I knew I wouldn't make it to the end, but it was annoying because no-one even nominated me."
One Housemate Didn't Say Goodbye
Admitting she got upset herself when watching the emotional goodbye back, Charlotte said Rochelle was "so sweet" before she was asked why Johanne did not say goodbye to her.
She stated: "I had gone out to garden first and told everyone that was in the garden, then we walked to the bedroom, she (Johanne) was laid in her bed and when I said I'd made the decision to leave the house, she immediately got up and walked into the bathroom and didn't say anything so I don't know what that's about. She didn't come back out or anything like that.... It doesn't bother me, I'm confused me a little bit, even though I'm friends with Chelsey I never had any arguments with her, so I've got no idea what that's about."
