The Celebrity Traitors returns tonight on BBC One, and bookmakers have installed Romesh Ranganathan as the favourite to be murdered in the next episode. Action Network odds place the comedian at 4/7 to be the next casualty, with Rob Beckett trailing at 7/3.
The latest instalment follows a tense cliffhanger in which the remaining Traitors - Love Island host Maya Jama, comedian James Acaster and mathematician Professor Hannah Fry - forced contestants into a deadly game of hide and seek under the cloak of night.
Hide and seek twist
Host Claudia Winkleman instructed the celebrities to choose four potential victims who would hide in the forest. The Traitors would then attempt to find one and murder them face-to-face.
Instead of picking one of their own, the Traitors selected four Faithfuls: Romesh Ranganathan, Rob Beckett, singer Leigh-Anne Pinnock and actor Ross Kemp. Unbeknownst to the Traitors, the chosen group received one key to protect their hiding place, which was given to Little Mix star Leigh-Anne after deliberation.
Odds and favourites
Action Network's spokesperson said: "Romesh Ranganathan is the favourite to become the next victim of the Traitors at odds of 4/7, with the traitors perceiving him as one of the leading faithful voices around the round table, making him a smart one to remove."
They added: "Rob Beckett is next in line at odds of 7/3 to get murdered, seen as an unexpected choice that could send shockwaves through the faithful. Ross Kemp is deemed less likely to meet a grisly end, with the Traitors banking on the growing suspicion around him. Leigh-Anne Pinnock, who may still be remembered for her late-night makeup touch-up, is considered the least likely to be murdered - though if the traitors do target her, there will be no murder, as she was given the key and is thus safe during the hide and seek."
Round Table expulsion odds
Meanwhile, amid mounting rumours about her true loyalties, Hannah Fry has emerged as the "overwhelming favourite" to face expulsion at the forthcoming Round Table. She is tipped at 3/7 to receive the most votes in the upcoming elimination, with James Blunt at 3/1 and Jerry Hall at 17/3.
Welsh actor Michael Sheen has seen his odds shorten for becoming the ultimate champion, though two Traitors - James Acaster and Maya Jama - also rank among the top three favourites for victory, given the scant suspicion aimed their way.
The Celebrity Traitors continues tonight at 8pm on BBC One and iPlayer.
