Writing in his Metro column, Rajan referenced Professor Hannah Fry's analysis of previous series, which revealed that Traitors never socialize together. He noted that James, Maya, and Kenny did exactly that at the end of the last episode, calling it a "beautiful example" of how the game elevates, but also questioning whether it was their first huge blunder.
Rajan also praised Maya Jama, suggesting she could win the entire show. He described her as a "revelation," noting her humility and intelligence, and highlighted her strategic moves, including feigning innocence to get a shield and banishing fellow Traitors Richard and Hannah.

Richard E Grant set a new record for the earliest banishment of a Traitor after admitting to host Claudia Winkleman's choice during a conversation with Joe Lycett. Despite his slip-up, Grant insisted he was convinced no one would take his comment seriously. A newspaper later reported that some BBC show workers believed Grant staged the slip-up to avoid weeks of filming.
In an Instagram story, Grant denied these claims, writing: "This is categorically false. I'm an avid fan of the show and have been since it first aired. Being picked as a Traitor when I was convinced I'd be a Faithful was an absolute dream and a sheer shock to the system."
