Celebrity Traitors fans all say same thing about 2026 cast

Viewers of Celebrity Traitors were all singing the same tune just moments into the first episode of the new series. The BBC programme returned to screens on Thursday night (October 1) to launch its second series, hosted by Claudia Winkleman.

The show follows the same rules as the original civilian series, but fans can anticipate a number of unexpected twists and turns. Among those vying to make it to the finish line - and secure a cash prize for charity - are 21 well-known personalities.

Celebrities heading to Scotland

Celebrities such as Ross Kemp, Maya Jama, Bella Ramsey, Julie Hesmondhalgh, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and James Blunt have journeyed up to Scotland for a game that's bound to deliver plenty of drama.

As viewers settled in to watch the inaugural episode, they seemed thrilled, with many echoing the same sentiment just seconds in. Flocking to X, viewers lauded the quality of the cast, reports Wales Online.

Fans praise the line-up

"This cast is 10/10 omg I'm praying they give us good TV," one viewer enthused. Another chimed in: "The cast of this year's #CelebrityTraitors is top tier." A third wrote: "This is the most celebrity celebrity cast ever." Echoing these sentiments, a fourth viewer declared: "This cast is excellent." The majority of the cast are actors, with 10 residing in the castle compared to five comedians, three TV presenters, two pop stars and a social media influencer. Bella Ramsey, 22, made her breakthrough in Game of Thrones and was widely acclaimed for her portrayal of Ellie in The Last of Us.

Cast backgrounds revealed

American Jerry Hall, 69, previously married to Rolling Stone Mick Jagger and media tycoon Rupert Murdoch, is most recognised for her performances in the West End and her role in Batman on the big screen. Julie Hesmondhalgh, known for playing Hayley Cropper in Coronation Street until 2014, has since appeared in numerous other TV programmes, including ITV's Mr Bates Vs the Post Office.

Meanwhile, Richard E Grant recently wrapped up his role as Mr Bennet alongside Ruth Jones in BBC1's The Other Bennet Sister and is best remembered for his part in the 80s cult classic Withnail and I. Celebrity Traitors airs on BBC One and iPlayer.
