Celebrity Traitors exit 'exposed' hours before next murder and fans will be floored
Celebrity Traitors exit 'exposed' hours before next murder

A star of Celebrity Traitors may have inadvertently leaked the identity of the second murder victim, with fans convinced they have already cracked who will be eliminated next.

21 famous faces entered The Traitors castle last week, aiming to outwit and deceive each other in a bid to win up to £100,000 for their chosen charity. Claudia Winkleman selected Maya Jama and Richard E. Grant as her first two Traitors, just hours before they had to invite a Faithful to join them. They ultimately chose James Acaster to ascend to the turret, while Amol Rajan became the first player to be murdered.

Buried Alive Challenge and Roundtable Drama

The celebrities then embarked on their second mission, which involved being buried alive. However, the challenge proved too much for Jerry Hall, who requested to be extracted from the coffin before the task commenced - resulting in her immediate nomination for murder, alongside her partner Hannah Fry, reports Wales Online.

The first roundtable discussion ensued, with several names being bandied about. Julie Hesmondhalgh, Ross Kemp, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Richard all found themselves having to defend their actions, just before a cliffhanger left viewers on tenterhooks.

The popular series is due to return to our screens tonight (Thursday, October 8), where the identity of the first banished celebrity will be unveiled. But that's not all, as the second murder will also occur, with either Jerry or Hannah facing elimination.

James Blunt's Hint Sparks Fan Theory

However, some viewers reckon they've already cracked who will be the next victim, after a star of the show seemingly dropped a hint on social media. This comes after fans were left suspecting that James Blunt had a hidden agenda when he pointed the finger at Hannah last week.

Speaking at the roundtable, he said: "I think sometimes the simplest theory is probably the most correct theory, and what we do know is that we've had a murder, and we know we've had a recruitment. And if you are to murder and recruit, I think you're going to murder the biggest threat to you, and you're going to recruit the person who's even more threatening to you. The murder was Amol. The recruitment was Hannah."

One fan took to Instagram to share their theory, writing: "I'd like to think it's a tactic to keep her in the game. If her name is brought up the traitors are less likely to murder her." James appeared to validate the speculation with his succinct response: "Bingo."

Could Jerry Hall Be the Next Victim?

Could James' suggestion that the Traitors might keep Hannah in the game because she's under suspicion have inadvertently given away the identity of the next murder victim? With Jerry being the only other star facing potential murder, does this mean that the American actress and model is set to be the next celebrity to bid farewell to the castle? Only time will tell.

Lorraine Kelly weighed in on James' comment during the latest episode of her ITV morning show on Thursday, saying: "Fans think they know who's going to be murdered next after a wee blunder by James Blunt. We last saw him accuse Hannah Fry, how dare he, of being a Traitor. But now, he's suggested he brought up her name [as] a red herring to save her, that's what he's saying!" The presenter wrapped up: "Does that mean she survives tonight or not?"

Before the murder takes place, there remains a banishment to be carried out, with Richard presently the bookmakers' top pick to face elimination. This follows his accidental confession to being a Traitor while in the company of several Faithfuls. The Celebrity Traitors is available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
