The Celebrity Traitors has returned for a new series, with Claudia Winkleman choosing her Traitors from the Faithful. In the first episode, viewers discovered that Claudia had selected two Traitors, with a third to be unveiled on Friday, 2 October, after a tense cliffhanger.
The beloved murder mystery sees former Strictly Come Dancing star Claudia Winkleman as host, leading 21 stars into the ultimate game of deception, backstabbing, and trust.
Who are the Traitors in The Celebrity Traitors 2026?
Actor Richard E Grant is one of the Traitors in this series. Ahead of the show's airing, he explained why he wanted to take part. He said: “Because I think it's the most brilliant game, where even Stephen Fry's encyclopedic knowledge of Sherlock Holmes couldn't solve the mystery. You can't have any clue.
“The Traitors are decided by a team of people and Claudia Winkleman, so there's nothing to go on. Pack mentality prevails, where suspicion turns into accusation.”
He also said he would “love” to be a Traitor, adding: “You have no control in real life over anything. Any chance for that would be welcome. And a little bit of mischief is always welcome.”
Love Island presenter Maya Jama was the second Traitor chosen by Claudia. She said, “I love the show. I watched the last celebrity series, and I've always wanted to do some kind of challenge game show, but there’s never really been the right one.”
She added, “I'd love to play someone who's the complete opposite of me, a proper villain or someone really evil. Maybe this is my chance to test that out.”
Who else is taking part?
Earlier this year, it was revealed that Amol Rajan, Bella Ramsey, James Acaster, James Blunt, Jerry Hall, and Joanne McNally would be taking part.
Also joining Claudia in the Scottish Highlands are Joe Lycett, Julie Hesmondhalgh, King Kenny, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Maya Jama, Michael Sheen, Miranda Hart, Myha’la, Professor Hannah Fry, Richard E. Grant, Rob Beckett, Romesh Ranganathan, Ross Kemp, Sebastian Croft, and Sharon Rooney.
They’re following in the footsteps of Alan Carr, whose emotional win last year went down in history after he fooled his co-stars and made it to the very end as a Traitor, winning £87,500 for Neuroblastoma UK.
