Big Brother viewers have been left baffled by a controversial confession from Philip Regan that didn't make it into the main show.
It's currently the Week of Revelations in the ITV2 competition, which means housemates' private comments are being aired out for everyone to hear. The latest challenge sees newcomers Catrin and Twinks, as well as Lynx and Philip returning to Big Brother's library.
The selected housemates then pick out a series of DVDs which feature secret conversations between housemates, and play them for the whole cast. This leads to a major confrontation between Rochelle and Twinks which is set to air tonight (October 7).
Philip's confession aired on The Group Chat
But viewers at home have been distracted by Philip's own comment that was aired on Big Brother's companion show, The Group Chat. It came to light on Tuesday night (October 6) and shows the 53-year-old admitting he isn't scared of being nominated for eviction.
In a conversation with Samuel, the Liverpudlian said: "You might think I'm being big-headed. You know I'm not big-headed. But I'm a very confident person. I will tell you why, I've got a lot of followers, got nearly a million followers.
"I've got millions and millions of views. And Liverpool stick together [they're] known for it. So I'm confident - I'm not saying confident to win - I'm confident in if I'm ever up [for eviction]."
He went on to add that he would be "worried" but feels confident his followers will rally behind him. As viewers will know by now, Philip is a hugely popular social media star widely known as the Queen of Scotty Road.
Fans react to the game player accusation
Fans instantly recognised the content creator when he first entered the house and he has been one of the favourites to win. But the newly-released comment has completely ticked off some supporters.
Writing on TikTok, one viewer commented: "Oh Phillip you've lost me entirely," with someone else adding: "I have massively gone off Phillip hope he and Rochelle are next to go."
Another disappointed supporter said: "Philip threw his chance to win away," and a fourth agreed: "showing his true colours now. get him out."
Others have been quick to crown him as "the biggest game player" following the admission. But he hasn't lost all support as one person shared: "Love Philip."
And a second said: "#BBUK listen I know that Philip is a flip-flop, yeah but I still like him. I love this guy. I'm sorry he's my winner."
Big Brother is streaming on ITVX.
