Big Brother contestant Charlotte Nott has voluntarily left the ITV reality show after just 13 days inside the iconic house. The 18-year-old student from Oxford was among the youngest participants to enter the series last Sunday (September 13), hoping to claim the £100,000 prize.
Charlotte's decision to leave
A Big Brother spokesperson said: "Charlotte has made the decision to leave the Big Brother house and viewers will see her departure in tomorrow night's show. We thank her for being a fantastic Housemate."
A source revealed the details of Charlotte's exit to The Sun, saying: "Charlotte woke up this morning and decided the experience just wasn't for her and she'd rather be at home with family. She's so grateful for the chance but made the decision to leave and is now on her way home."
Recent eviction and fan reaction
Her departure follows less than 24 hours after fellow contestant Chelsey Ammari was voted off the programme by the public. Chelsey and carer Pauline Adeyemo had faced elimination after receiving the highest number of nominations from their housemates.
Charlotte's sudden departure has left fans reeling, with many taking to social media to voice their shock. Posting on X, previously known as Twitter, one fan wrote: "Charlotte has left big brother I'm so shocked I did not see that coming. #BBUK."
Another added: "Oh no! I'm so sad to hear that Charlotte has left the #BigBrother house. She's been one of my favourite housemates and has been making a great impression during her stint. I've been rooting for her to win this series. Wishing Charlotte all the best. #BigBrotherUK."
While a third chimed in: "Very sad to hear Charlotte gone I believe over time she'd have came out her shell a lot lot more. #BBUK."
Prior excitement and eligibility
Prior to her television appearance, the quadruple amputee was "excited" to live with complete strangers for the first time. She told ITV: "It's just such a strange situation. Being in the house, it's just going to be such a different thing from normal life."
"Until I'm in there, I'm not going to know what it's like, but I know that it's just going to be a weird experience. And I'm just excited to put myself out of my comfort zone. I'm going to have no phone, no contact with the outside world," reports OK!.
Charlotte had been an avid viewer of Big Brother "every year" since its inception on ITV and always harboured dreams of testing her mettle in the contest. However, at 18 years old, this was the first year she was eligible to apply for the show.
