Big Brother fans say they have finally worked out which famous star one housemate resembles, after a specific moment helped them make the connection. The revelation comes as two contestants await the public vote to decide who will be evicted.
Earlier this week, the group was forced to make their nominations face-to-face, which led to tensions boiling over and multiple heated exchanges. Rob found himself at the centre of fiery confrontations after some housemates took issue with him dancing on a table. He defended his actions, saying he was 'just having a fun moment', while Lynx said he thought it was 'unhygienic'.
Fans spot the resemblance
In the end, Pauline and Rob received the most nominations from their fellow housemates. Both are now facing the public vote, and one of them will be evicted on Friday (October 9). It appears to be a close call, as both individuals have online followings, but a number of fans were recently left distracted after claiming to have figured out which famous star Rob reminds them of.
One person took to the Big Brother UK subreddit and asked if anyone else thought Rob looked like a famous actor, while also admitting, "Is it my bad eyesight?" They explained that a moment aired during the new companion show helped them make the connection, as his audition tape was played during the latest episode of Big Brother: The Group Chat.
Comedy legend comparison
After it aired, they said, "I hadn’t seen it before, and now I can’t unsee it. Anyone else, or is it just my eyes?" Many in the thread's comments claimed that Rob reminded them of comedy legend Rik Mayall. Mayall was known for being part of the alternative comedy scene during the 1980s, starring in sitcoms including The Young Ones, Blackadder, and Bottom alongside Ade Edmondson. He also appeared in films such as Drop Dead Fred and The Wind In The Willows, and died in 2014 following a heart attack.
Several other Big Brother fans made the same comparison, with one saying: "The second I saw his VT I thought of Rik Mayall." Another confessed, "I had a massive crush on Rik Mayall when I was a kid. I grew up watching Bottom." It was also a topic of debate in a Big Brother Facebook group, as one fan urged, "Rob to win, he reminds me of a young Rik Mayall."
