Tensions reached boiling point in the I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! camp as a petty dispute over washing-up duties sparked a major row between YouTuber AngryGinge and model Kelly Brook.
The Mug Debate That Divided Camp
The core of the conflict centred on campmates choosing to eat their breakfast rice rations directly from their mugs. AngryGinge, whose real name is Freddy, is currently on washing-up duty alongside rapper Aitch. The 24-year-old content creator argued this habit unnecessarily doubled his workload, as it meant cleaning both mugs and the standard tin trays used for other meals.
During the camp's morning meeting, a clearly frustrated Ginge issued an ultimatum. 'I think I have been very polite when I have asked [people] not to use mugs and I think my reasoning is more than fair,' he stated. 'What I will say is if I see one more person eating out of a cup, I will refuse to wash up.'
Clashing Perspectives on Hygiene and Routine
Kelly Brook, 46, led the opposition to Ginge's demands. She defended the practice, explaining that eating from a cup in the morning made the meagre rice ration 'feel more like breakfast' and added welcome variety. She also raised a critical hygiene concern in the Bush Telegraph, noting that leaving food in tins between meals would attract pests. 'If you’re leaving food in camp, by the time you get back to your tin at lunch time, it’s gonna be covered in ants. It's really unhygienic,' she argued.
Her point was underscored when the camp discovered rats nearby and unwashed items, including a wooden spoon and two cups, were found covered in 'thousands of ants' overnight. Vogue Williams also challenged Ginge, asserting that campmates had 'the right to have a clean bowl in the morning.'
Aitch's Diplomatic Solution
Just as the standoff seemed intractable, Aitch proposed a clever compromise. He suggested that if campmates wanted to use their cups for breakfast, they could simply use the same cup twice – for rice and beans – before washing, while reserving the tin trays for dinner. Following a vote, the camp agreed to adopt this new system.
The resolution appeared to satisfy AngryGinge, who finally conceded, 'I’m happy with that.' The agreement ended a feud that had seen Ginge protest, 'I’m not having it anymore! I’m taking a stand,' after another tense exchange where Kelly told him 'Too late!' regarding the dirty tins.
The drama unfolded alongside the camp's challenge of memorising fake Jungle ID details to gain entry to The Jungle Arms, where they had to convince bouncer Kev of their false identities. I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! continues Wednesday at 9pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
