Alan Carr has revealed who he thinks has the potential to win the Celebrity Traitors, as the hit BBC show returns to screens tonight. The comedian, who won the first series in 2025, has tipped Miranda Hart as one to watch.
Carr's prediction for the new series
Speaking to the ECHO on the red carpet at the National Television Awards earlier this month, Alan Carr teased who could triumph on the show. He said: "I think people need to watch out for Miranda Hart, because she is just like me and I won the show."
Alan triumphed against Nick Mohammed and David Olusoga in a tense finale episode last year. Despite being completely unfamiliar with the concept of a "poker face", he was crowned the winner of the first ever series.
Full line-up and how to watch
This year, 21 celebrities from a range of backgrounds will make their way into the castle, including singers, actors, comedians and TV presenters. The winning star will receive a cash prize of up to £100,000 for a charity of their choice.
The full line-up includes journalist and broadcaster Amol Rajan, actress Bella Ramsey, comedian James Acaster, singer James Blunt, model and actress Jerry Hall, comedian Joanne McNally, comedian Joe Lycett, actress Julie Hesmondhalgh, former Little Mix singer Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Love Island presenter Maya Jama, YouTuber King Kenny, actor Michael Sheen, comedian Miranda Hart, actor Myha'la, mathematician Hannah Fry, actor Richard E. Grant, comedian Rob Beckett, comedian Romesh Ranganathan, actor Ross Kemp, actor Sebastian Croft, and actress Sharon Rooney.
Filming location and logistics
Claudia Winkleman returns to host the show on BBC One. It airs Thursday, October 1 at 8pm, followed by The Celebrity Traitors: Uncloaked with Ed Gamble at 9pm.
The Celebrity Traitors is filmed at Ardross Castle, north of Inverness in the Scottish Highlands. The impressive 19th century castle provides the setting for the programme, with its interiors and formal gardens with 100 acres of parkland on the banks of the River Alness. Contestants do not live or sleep in the castle; instead, they are transported to a nearby hotel near Inverness Airport, approximately a 40-to-45-minute drive from the castle, in separate cars to prevent communication outside the game.
