Former Great British Bake Off contestant Rowan Claughton has shared a budget-friendly recipe for triple chocolate cookies that uses an air fryer instead of a conventional oven. The recipe yields 16 cookies for just £5.72, working out at 36p per cookie — a fraction of the cost of M&S's viral triple chocolate chip cookies.
Recipe Goes Viral on TikTok
Rowan's video on TikTok has garnered over 131,800 views, 15,200 likes, and 72 comments. Viewers praised the affordability and taste. Jessica commented: "36p! ! What a steal - they look incredible." Jackie wrote: "Just made some, but I only added white chocolate chips. Well, tasty, thank you for the recipe." Sunita said: "Omg the M&S triple choc cookies are my absolute fave! Will be trying this."
How to Make the Cookies
The method produces cookies with a crisp exterior and gooey chocolate centre. Rowan said: "They look absolutely beautiful. It's exactly like the M&S cookie. Oh, that is incredible. I just can't believe that's 36p. You can have a delicious cookie and not spend loads and loads of money on just five, and it tastes like a million dollars."
