Channel Seven has announced eight farmers for the upcoming 2025 season of 'Farmer Wants a Wife', but a report suggests not all will make it to air. An insider told New Idea that introducing a larger group is standard practice, with the final line-up typically reduced to six farmers.
The alleged source explained that producers cast a wide net initially, and if a farmer does not receive enough applications from potential partners, they are cut before filming. This process reportedly occurred in the 2024 season, with Farmer Todd reappearing after Dean and Bert left early.
The eight farmers in contention include Reidy, a 29-year-old banana and avocado farmer from Queensland; Jack, a 26-year-old cattle farmer from New South Wales; and Jarrad, a 21-year-old sheep farmer from Queensland. Others are Corey (24, beans, hay, cotton, Queensland), Jack L (26, dairy, Tasmania), Tom M (31, sheep, New South Wales), Thomas (35, wheat, barley, lentils, South Australia), and Chooka (25, cattle and crop, Victoria).
Host Samantha Armytage will return after signing a two-year deal, with Natalie Gruzlewski as understudy. Applications for single women are open, but the release date and which two farmers will be cut remain unconfirmed.
