Robin Bailey's Radio Return Could Be Delayed by I'm A Celebrity Jungle Stint
Robin Bailey's radio return may face I'm A Celebrity delay

The highly anticipated comeback of popular presenter Robin Bailey to Brisbane's airwaves may hit an unexpected snag, with fresh reports suggesting she could soon be trading the studio for the jungle.

Radio Return Followed by Jungle Rumours

Just days after the Australian Radio Network (ARN) confirmed Bailey would be reinstated to the KIIS 97.3 breakfast slot in 2026, speculation has surged that the 45-year-old broadcaster is set to appear on the upcoming season of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! According to a Courier Mail report, Bailey is expected to travel to South Africa for the reality series, which is hosted by Robert Irwin and Julia Morris and films over several weeks.

ARN's confirmation of Bailey's return, alongside co-hosts Kip Wightman and Corey Oates, came after an extraordinary reversal. The trio were abruptly axed in October and replaced by Craig 'Lowie' Low, a move that sparked intense listener backlash and forced the network to reconsider.

Clues Point to a 'Radio Queen'

Insiders suggest the rumoured jungle stint makes strategic sense for Bailey. While Wightman and Oates quickly launched a new podcast, The Unofficial Broncos Podcast with Sammy, Oatsey and Kip, after their dismissal, Bailey had no major on-air projects confirmed at the time.

Speculation reached fever pitch after the show's producers teased an incoming contestant described as a 'Radio Queen'. This was accompanied by a series of flamingo-themed clues ahead of the season's launch on January 18. Fans were quick to connect the dots, as Bailey recently announced her memoir titled Flamingos Aren't Born Pink.

A Star-Studded Line-Up for 2025

The new season is shaping up to be a major casting coup. The line-up is tipped to include a diverse array of celebrities:

  • A Hollywood sitcom star, teased to 'go off with a big bang', leading to fan guesses including Jim Parsons, Kaley Cuoco, or Matt LeBlanc.
  • An international supermodel linked to rock royalty, with names like Tyra Banks and Kelly Osbourne in the mix.
  • A rugby league 'Romeo', with former Canberra Raider Luke Bateman fancied.
  • Soap royalty, potentially from Neighbours.
  • Other rumoured campmates include a master chef, an AFL A-lister, a Logie-winning actor, and a '90s pop star.

Adding fuel to the fire, former contestant Brendan Fevola claimed Kelly Osbourne is '100 per cent' locked in, while also naming chef George Calombaris and actor Samuel Johnson. Furthermore, the Daily Mail exclusively revealed that Married at First Sight alum Cyrell Paule has signed on for the jungle adventure, after Channel 10 teased a 'MAFS bride' would be joining the cast.

If the rumours prove true, Bailey's loyal Brisbane listeners may have to wait a little longer for her full-time radio return, as she potentially faces bushtucker trials in the South African wilderness first.
