Mitchell Brothers Reunite: EastEnders Fans Go Wild

The Mitchell brothers have reunited once again, and EastEnders fans are thrilled. Ross Kemp and Steve McFadden, who play iconic siblings Grant and Phil Mitchell, posted a video together that sent fans into a frenzy.

Reunion on the River

In a video shared on Instagram by Ross Kemp, the actors are seen together on a boat. 'Guess what?', the Bridge of Lies presenter said, moving the camera to reveal co-star Steve. 'The Mitchell brothers are reuniting – but this time on the river!' Phil legend Steve smiled, adding: 'Ahoy there! Ahoy'

Fan Reactions

The social media clip received an enthusiastic response from fans of the BBC One soap. Instagram user @_v_a_n_e_s_s_a wrote: 'This has made my day,' while @da1ton990 said: 'part of my child hood for sure.' Saziso_ added: 'Peggy would be proud' and @samuk89 branded the actors 'legends'.

Several EastEnders stars also reacted to the clip. Peter Beale star Thomas Law called the video 'class', while Honey Mitchell legend Emma Barton said: 'love this'. Balvinder Sopal, who plays Suki Panesar-Unwin, added: 'LOVE', and Denise Fox icon Diane Parish responded with clap and heart emojis.

Recent Return to Walford

Steve and Ross' reunion comes just weeks after their final scenes together, with Grant star Ross having staged a brief return to the BBC One soap earlier this year for the culmination of the Nigel Bates story. His comeback reunited him not only with Phil and Nigel but also with Sam, making it the first time the Mitchell trio were together in over a decade.

Grant's exit came about after he took the blame for cars torched by estranged son Mark Fowler Jr. Mark was taken aback and realized the error of his ways, revealing he was grateful. Sam decided to accompany Grant to Portugal, and they left Walford together.

Off-Screen Friendship

While they are not together on screen at the moment, it is heartwarming to know that the Mitchell brothers are still in touch in real life. EastEnders airs Mondays to Thursdays at 7:30pm on BBC One or streams from 6am on BBC iPlayer.
