Co-Star Reveals Lucy Pargeter's Controversial Tea Choice
Emmerdale star Eden-Taylor Draper, who plays Belle Dingle, has exposed her co-star Lucy Pargeter's 'awful' on-set habit: her preference for milky, weak, and sugary tea. The revelation came during an appearance on the Dingle Court vodcast, where Draper and Jeff Hordley (Cain Dingle) discussed divisive topics.
Jeff Hordley admitted he dislikes such tea, saying, 'If somebody makes a cup of tea for me I have to find somewhere to get rid of it. Quick.' Draper then chimed in about Pargeter's tea, stating, 'Oh, Lucy's tea is awful. It's milky and sugary. And I make it and I'm like, I don't even want to give this to you because you should not enjoy this!'
Lucy Pargeter's Two Decades as Chas Dingle
Lucy Pargeter joined Emmerdale in 2002 as Chas Dingle, making a memorable entrance dressed as a nun for her cousin Marlon's stag night. Over the years, Chas has been central to major storylines, including becoming landlady of The Woolpack, being taken hostage, losing her baby daughter Grace, and battling breast cancer.
Pargeter nearly played another Dingle character. She told Inside Soap that she auditioned for the roles of a trucker and Charity Dingle, making it to the final three for Charity. However, a quirky audition move—doing 'something weird with her head'—put off producers. Yet, her audition was remembered, and the role of Chas was written around her, ensuring the character would be 'strong and feisty.'
