Traitors Star Charlotte Chilton 'Shell-Shocked' as Second Paternity Test Confirms Conor Maynard Is N

The Traitors star Charlotte Chilton is said to be 'shell-shocked' after a second DNA test confirmed that singer Conor Maynard is not the father of her daughter, Penelope. Chilton had requested the additional test after raising concerns about the first sample's collection.

Chilton gave birth to Penelope last year and publicly claimed Maynard was the father. In March, Maynard released a statement saying a paternity test proved he was not the biological father. However, Chilton later requested a second test, alleging an unidentified male was present when the first sample was taken. The second test upheld the original result.

“Charlotte is shell-shocked by the news,” a source told The Sun. “She has been fighting for the truth to come out for the past 18 months during an already difficult time as a first-time single mum. It’s never been about the fact Conor is in the public eye or has money behind him. Charlotte had no intention of ‘trapping’ him.”

In a statement to the Mirror, Chilton's representatives confirmed the outcome: “On behalf of our client Charlotte Chilton, we would like to address the story published in today's Sun, confirming Conor Maynard is not the biological father of her beautiful daughter, Penelope.” The statement thanked her legal team and said Chilton will now “take time to process, heal and reflect.”

Maynard issued a statement in March after the first test, saying: “Today I've received the test results which confirm that I am not Penelope's father. I am glad that the speculation can finally be put to an end. All I would ask is that people act with kindness in response to this news – there is a child at the heart of all of this and that should not be forgotten.”

Chilton, who appeared on BBC's The Traitors, had previously been in a relationship with ex-wife Laura for seven years. She has spoken openly about her difficult pregnancy, which was complicated by polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), gestational diabetes, and SPD, requiring hospital visits and causing her to stop working.
