Tara Reid Files Police Report After Alleged Drink Spiking at Hotel Bar
Tara Reid alleges drink spiking in hotel bar incident

American actress Tara Reid has filed an official police report following a disturbing incident at an Illinois hotel bar where she believes her drink was spiked, rendering her unconscious and requiring hospital treatment.

Conflicting Accounts of the Evening

The incident reportedly began on Saturday, November 22, 2024, at around 10:00 PM at the DoubleTree hotel bar in Rosemont, Illinois. Reid, best known for her role in American Pie, states in her report that she was approached by a man who introduced himself as Sean P, a YouTube influencer.

According to Sean P's account to TMZ, the pair began chatting, exchanged contact information, and stepped outside for a cigarette at Reid's suggestion. He claimed Reid was initially dismissive of his YouTube background but warmed up after he mentioned a past TMZ story about her.

Sean P alleged that both were 'tipsy' but coherent. The situation escalated when they returned to the bar. Sean P claims that when he went to pay his tab, Reid handed him her purse and asked him to retrieve her room key. He alleges he saw pills inside the purse, at which point Reid suddenly screamed for security.

The Allegation and Hospitalisation

Reid's version of events differs significantly. She told police that after returning from their cigarette break, she noticed a napkin had been placed over her drink. The last thing she recalls is consuming that drink before waking up in a hospital approximately eight hours later with no memory of the intervening events.

'I completely blacked out with no recollection of anything,' Reid stated in her report. 'I don't remember leaving the hotel I don't remember being in the ambulance or anything.'

She was eventually collected from the hospital by her agent and has since been recovering from what she describes as a 'traumatic' experience.

Denials and Ongoing Investigation

Sean P has vehemently denied any wrongdoing. He insists he never saw Reid with a beverage and certainly did not tamper with her drink. Furthermore, he addressed Reid's claim that he tried to extort her, explaining that he merely sent her a video, taken by a friend, of her being wheeled out on a stretcher to make her aware of the footage.

In response to Sean P's denials, a representative for Reid told The Daily Mail, 'We are just trying to get to the bottom of what happened.' The representative also clarified to TMZ that the actress never explicitly named Sean P as the person who spiked her drink and labelled his recounting of events as 'inaccurate.'

The Rosemont Public Safety Department has confirmed it is taking the allegations seriously and is actively investigating, including gathering video surveillance from the hotel. A test was conducted at the hospital to determine if any drugs were in Reid's system, but the results are still pending.

Tara Reid has made it clear she is 'willing to prosecute' anyone involved. Through her representative, she has urged the public to be vigilant, warning, 'watch your drinks and never leave them unattended, as this can happen to anyone.'
