Stunt rider Jasmine Jackson Lloyd, known for her work on BBC's Doctor Who and Gentleman Jack, has died suddenly at the age of 37. The news was confirmed on her official Instagram page, with a post stating she passed away on April 10.
The post described her as someone who 'suffered from mental health issues and battled addiction for years until it finally got the better of her.' It added: 'She always tried her best no matter the circumstances and brought joy wherever she went. Jasmine will forever be missed but never forgotten.'
Lloyd also worked on films such as The Batman (2022) and Dungeons and Dragons: Honour Among Thieves (2023), where she doubled for Michelle Rodriguez in riding scenes. Beyond her stunt work, she was a brown belt kickboxer, climbing instructor, scuba divemaster, and aerialist and fire performer.
Tributes have flooded in from friends and fans. One wrote: 'I'm so sorry. We never met, but she was an inspiration to so many women and riders like myself.' Another said: 'I knew her growing up, and thought she was just the coolest girl I’d ever met!'
