Stacey Dooley has voiced her support for Dianne Buswell's return to Strictly Come Dancing after the professional dancer faced online criticism following her pregnancy announcement. Dianne, who is expecting her first child with boyfriend Joe Sugg, performed on the show's launch show and first live episode despite being pregnant.
In a video shared on Kevin Clifton's Substack page, Stacey praised Dianne, saying: 'I think it is such a flex to be a pro, on the biggest show on tele, whilst pregnant... Women are incredible!' She added that it was 'amazing' Dianne could tell her baby, 'You were with me!'
The support comes after Dianne was targeted by a troll who commented on her pregnancy, calling it 'uncomfortable' and 'not appropriate' to dance while expecting. Dianne shared the comment on her Instagram Stories, writing: 'I can't believe in 2025 things like this are still being said.'
Dianne and Joe announced they are expecting a baby boy on September 14 via a video on Instagram. The couple met on Strictly in 2018, where they were runners-up to Stacey Dooley and Kevin Clifton.
