Paris Hilton Breaks Silence on Ghislaine Maxwell Recruitment Claims
Paris Hilton addresses Ghislaine Maxwell recruitment claims

Socialite and media personality Paris Hilton has directly confronted explosive reports alleging that Ghislaine Maxwell once targeted her for recruitment into Jeffrey Epstein's circle.

The Alleged Recruitment Attempt

According to claims made public in 2020, Ghislaine Maxwell spotted a then-19-year-old Hilton at a party around the year 2000. Christopher Mason, a former friend of Maxwell and a British journalist, recounted that Maxwell apparently stopped in her tracks upon seeing the young heiress, exclaiming 'oh my god'.

Mason stated that Maxwell told a friend Hilton would be 'perfect for Jeffrey' and requested an introduction. This incident was reportedly featured in the documentary series 'Surviving Jeffrey Epstein', which displayed a photograph from the Anand Jon Fashion Show in New York on September 18, 2000. The image showed a young Hilton positioned between Donald Trump and a smiling Maxwell wearing sunglasses.

Hilton's Firm Denial and Reflection

Despite these detailed allegations, the now 44-year-old Hilton, who is a mother of two, has firmly denied any recollection of the encounter. During a recent interview with the Sunday Times magazine, she claimed, 'I don't even remember ever meeting her'.

Hilton reflected on why her name might become entangled in such stories, suggesting her high profile makes her a target for sensationalism. She wryly noted, 'I'm such a good clickbait name', implying her celebrity status often draws her into media storms regardless of the facts.

The Maxwell-Epstein Connection

Ghislaine Maxwell, who had a romantic relationship with the notorious sex offender Jeffrey Epstein during the 1990s, was later convicted for her role as his 'chief recruiter'. She was found to be a key partner in his extensive sex trafficking operation, which involved scouting young girls for him.

Mason explained to the documentary that people were initially 'puzzled' by the pair's relationship, and the rumours at the time suggested Maxwell was 'scouring New York finding younger girls to go on dates with Jeffrey'. He added that what once seemed 'a bit naughty' was later revealed to be part of a vast criminal enterprise.

Maxwell met Epstein in the early 1990s after moving to New York following the death of her father, the disgraced newspaper baron Robert Maxwell.
