Paris Hilton has addressed long-standing allegations that Ghislaine Maxwell attempted to recruit her for Jeffrey Epstein's network. In an interview with The Sunday Times Magazine, the 44-year-old entrepreneur and reality-TV star said she does not recall ever meeting Maxwell.
The claims first emerged in 2020 from journalist Christopher Mason, who recounted an incident around the year 2000. He said Maxwell spotted a 19-year-old Hilton at a New York event and exclaimed, 'Oh my god,' telling a friend Hilton would be 'perfect for Jeffrey', before seeking an introduction.
A photograph from the Anand Jon Fashion Show in September 2000 shows Hilton standing between Donald Trump and Maxwell, the latter smiling in sunglasses. The image has been cited as evidence of their proximity, but Hilton maintains she has no memory of interacting with Maxwell.
Reflecting on why her name continues to surface, Hilton suggested it is due to her fame. 'I'm such a good clickbait name,' she said, noting that her cultural profile often makes her a magnet for narratives she does not recognise.
Maxwell was later convicted for her role in Epstein's sex-trafficking operation, described in court documents as his principal recruiter. Mason told the documentary 'Surviving Jeffrey Epstein' that people around Maxwell found her role puzzling, but rumours circulated that she was regularly seeking young women.
Hilton remains firm in distancing herself, reiterating that despite speculation, she has no memory of Maxwell ever approaching her.
