Maya Jama and Ruben Dias 'Devastated' After £4m Cheshire Mansion Burgled
Television presenter Maya Jama has publicly addressed the distressing burglary at her and boyfriend Ruben Dias's £4 million Cheshire mansion, describing the couple as "devastated" by the invasion of their personal space.
Burglary During Filming and Football Commitments
The incident occurred while the couple were away from their Alderley Edge home, located within the affluent Cheshire Golden Triangle area popular with Premier League footballers. Jama was in South Africa filming Love Island All Stars, while Manchester City defender Dias was playing in his team's match against Galatasaray.
Dias returned to the property at approximately 11pm to discover it had been ransacked, immediately contacting emergency services to report the crime. According to reports, a gang targeted the mansion, stealing valuable items including jewellery, electronics, and clothing.
Jama's Emotional Response on Social Media
The Love Island host took to her Instagram story to acknowledge the situation, expressing gratitude for supportive messages while emphasising her desire for privacy during this difficult time.
"Don't even like saying anything at all when things happen because then it just becomes another news article, but thank you for all your kind messages, we are ok," Jama wrote in her statement.

The burglars successfully breached these defences. The 6,300 square foot mansion also boasts landscaped gardens and a full indoor leisure suite complete with swimming pool, spa bath, sauna, and gym facilities.
A source close to the couple revealed: "They are devastated. The house is the first they have moved into as a couple and is very special to them. Thankfully, neither was at home, but they are very upset that their personal space has been invaded."

Cheshire Police confirmed they received reports of the burglary shortly after 11.10pm on Wednesday 28 January, with officers attending the scene to find entry had been made and numerous items stolen. Enquiries into the incident remain ongoing.
