Love Island presenter Maya Jama and her partner, Manchester City footballer Ruben Dias, have had their multimillion-pound home in Cheshire burgled. The incident occurred while the couple were away from their property in Alderley Edge, a village known for its expensive residences and popularity among Premier League players.

Cheshire Police confirmed they were called to the address just after 11pm on Wednesday. A spokesperson said officers attended and found that entry had been made and a number of items had been stolen. According to The Sun newspaper, Jama and Dias were left devastated by the break-in.

At the time of the burglary, 31-year-old Jama was in South Africa filming the Love Island spin-off show All Stars. Dias, 27, was in Manchester for his team's Champions League fixture against Turkish side Galatasaray. Assistant coach Pepijn Lijnders said he had not spoken to Dias personally but confirmed the player would return to team training on Monday, adding: 'These are the things you don't want to happen. We will support him.'

Jama, also a judge on ITV's The Masked Singer, confirmed her relationship with Dias in April 2025 after reportedly meeting at the MTV Europe Music Awards in 2024. Last week, she posted on Instagram revealing she has homes in London, the Cotswolds and Cheshire.
